REVIEW

This book is a beautiful gift book that combines scriptural references with gorgeous paintings by J. Kirk Richards.  The focus here is on Christ and his earthly mission including healing, teaching, and completing the Atonement.  I found the use of mostly neutral colors and incomplete faces an interesting touch.  It allows the viewer/reader to fill in the details.  I appreciated that the paintings of the crucifixion and Gethsemane were powerful but not graphic.  The one of the Savior in Gethsemane I found especially powerful.  Sometimes pictures really are more powerful than words, but in this book the reader gets the best of both worlds.  The book provides a powerful reminder of who Jesus is and what he did which is something well worth reviewing on a regular basis.
